NHS Improvement – Agency Rules Update

NHS Improvement – Agency Rules Update

Following feedback from agency workers about the latest agency rules on substantive staff, NHSI have now clarified their rules. Until further notice, NHSI are pausing the instruction that providers should ensure staff employed through an agency are not substantively employed elsewhere in the NHS.

This new rule will not start from 1 April 2017 and providers normal processes can remain in place. This means that agency workers are free to continue working across the NHS without any limitation.
